Incorrect tape can cause low echo output, tape jamming, distorted echo output, little or no self oscillation, incorrect tone and excessive head wear.
Over 90% of the repairs that come in to our workshop are due to faulty tape loops that were made with incorrect tape.

I tried all different tapes for my stage echo, none had a good sound, don't waste your money and time on eBay tapes, buy these, not cheap but you won't regret it! Thanks for all the help to for the schematics, great service is rare to find these days. big ups!

Went to find the best place on the web for replacement tape loops and all things tape echo related and lo and behold it's in Australia virtually on my doorstep.
The guys at Echo Fix were super helpful and real pleasure to deal with.

After a couple of years struggling with my Korg Stage Echo developing squeaks and sounding sub par after only a short amount of use, I bought some Echo Fix tape loops to try. And I'm stunned by the difference they make! They have totally transformed the machine. The sound is greatly improved, the feedback all of a sudden behaves beautifully, it runs smoother... Here in the UK, the only real source for these loops is via ebay, but never again for me. It's totally worth the extra cost to order from Echo Fix in Aus.
