I am using it as an insert into a console, when tracking guitars and other things. It sounds wonderful. A Kalimba stand works really well in propping it up also!
I guess everyone else is too busy playing theirs, but I've dragged myself away from it to write a few (inadequate) words.
I already had several compressors before buying this, including some higher-end ones that I was and am happy with, and I acquired this in part to complete the trifecta of Echo Fix pedals on my bass board. It is an extraordinary compressor; the preamp alone is a thing of beauty, but the compressor itself is the most flexible, quietest and cleanest 1176 "clone" I've ever heard. And, did I mention the preamp? A lovely thing, and cements Echo Fix as my favourite pedal builder. I've promised myself one of your tape echos before I die, but if you keep building stuff like this, you'll keep me happy in the meantime!
Here it is on my everyday board. Doug seems to particularly like the Spring Reverb.
