Important to replace the old felts, you can make them yourself but this will save you a lot of hassle !
Fantastic all round
First of all, I need to stress that replacing the old felt pressure pads is a pretty easy thing to do -- make sure you have Acetone around for removing glue residue first.
When replacing, I stuck by the installation advice Shane submitted, and everything fits perfectly although I have a feeling that the new felt pads are a tad thinner than the original ones, with a notable gap between the latch and the tape guide assembly (and yes, I checked size and gauge before installation). It does work, though, and I am perfectly satisfied.
