Note: Our tape is NOT BASF LGR-50 or Mastering tape which is not suitable for the Echo Fix tape echo range. The tape we use is very specific and ensures correct operation. Even mastering tape with a graphite backing is not suitable.
Incorrect tape will cause low echo output, tape jamming, distorted echo output, little or no self oscillation, incorrect tone and excessive head wear and will void your warranty.
Over 90% of the the echo repairs that come in to our workshop are due to faulty tape loops that were made with incorrect tape.

I own a EF-X3R which sounds wonderful…I’m a fan of clean tape delay so I change them regularly….Echofix provides great support with regular availability of new tapes
My title says it all. Just go to their YouTube channel to find video directions on how to efficiently and properly install the new tape loop (it takes about 5 minutes to remove the old one and replace it with the new tape).
Great echo output and oscillation Have not noticed any distorted echo’s or had any tape jams. My EF-X2 is less than a year old so headwear has not been an issue. These units sound incredible and the correct tape plays a huge role in the quality of sound.
Instant improvement in sound quality after changing to a new tape in my EF-X2 and it sounded great already! Echo Fix: world class products and service!
