So nice to have a go to parts solution for a new replacement device.

Certainly much better than a self fabricated solution, trying to match up old and used parts.

Trying to mount a generic head to some sorts of mechanical mounting configuration.

This is a direct drop in solution. I would suggest full replacement of the playback and the erase head . It is easier to setup and balance.

I will definitely shop Echofix again . I will also add that I at first was apprehensive purchasing off shore and the worried the hassle of international shipping from Oz . I was pleasantly surprised that it took no longer than many shipments that I order from the Atlantic Coast to deliver here on the West Coast.
