I have been an electronics tech for over 12 years and never had to rebuild an RE-301 motor. This restoration was like all the others, but I noticed a sudden pitch shift when in SOS mode. It was always at the same time. So I had to assume the motor as my final challenge. Ordered the kit and followed the instructions slowly and purposefully. It turned out incredible. Pitch shift was gone and the echo turned out even better than I imagined. I'm always coming to echofix.com when needing parts for these specific repairs.

It was easy enough to install for anyone with at least some technical ability and the instructions were quite clear. Removing the circlip under the upper bearing was a bit gnarly however. Cheap circlip pliers that we have available in AUS just won't cut it, they are either too flimsy for the spring steel clip, or too fat for the holes. Aside from borrowing a pair of good ones with very small prongs, or spending $$ on same for a tool that you might not use a lot, you might need to improvise, which I did. Otherwise, its happy days RE201 works well now. Thanks
